Hello! Welcome to GOA.
Before you continue, please make sure as you read that you do not pass anything that you do not fully understand. It's okay if there's something you don't get--I'll walk you through it. If you run into something you don't get, please stop reading and PM me your questions and continue after what you didn't get is cleared up so I can help you get the fullest understanding of it to avoid any future confusion. That is the number one rule of this place, to always make sure you understand how the place works!
Now, as any other site will have, there are a few (other) rules that must be followed upon committing to be a member of this place. They will most likely be updated over time, so checking the thread occasionally would be ideal. And here they are:
Thank you for taking the time to read the rules! I know they're kind of a long read but I really appreciate you taking the time and understanding them. That's it for now, but remember to check back occasionally or when an update has been formally announced! I wish you all the best for your time here and hope you guys have fun!

General Forum Rules
1). You must follow the ProBoards Terms of Service and ProBoards Community Guidelines at all times. If I see anything violating the ToS, you will be given a warning.
2). Treat others how you would like to be treated, and do not treat others the way you do not want to be treated.
For example, say you want others to respect you--well, respect them too!
Or, in the second half of that statement--say you don't want someone to trash your characters. Well, then don't talk badly of theirs either.
This of course doesn't have to be followed so strictly that even your characters have to be this way, but at least try your best when you're out of character. Pretty common way of operating in a group, right?
Role-playing Rules
1). You may not take control over any character that strictly speaking does not belong to you. This is called power-play, and it is not allowed. If another role-player gives you permission to role-play their character, go ahead--but if you have not been told it is okay, then do NOT control a character you don't own.
2). Your character cannot be invincible, immortal, all-powerful, or have the ability to do absolutely ANYTHING it wants. This is called god-modding, and this is also not allowed. For example, you can't have your character simply sprout wings to narrowly save itself from getting killed. Your character should be played realistically, and as physically possible as you can make it.
2.5). This especially includes leader characters! It can't live forever just because it has 9 lives. Your leader'll lose its lives eventually, so keep it real.
3). You may have as many characters as you are capable of controlling. This means you could have up to 8947497 characters if you are able to keep track of which thread they are in, where they are, what their different plots are and all that stuff. The sky is your limit!
4). There is, however, a limit to threads you may participate in with the SAME character. This limit is 2 at most.
This means I could not have Brackentail in a thread at the Clan camp, on a border patrol RP, AND relaxing in some sunny area away from those two places all at once. This is a rule to keep people in control of their characters, to keep the characters active but not over-active, and to avoid plot confusion.
5). Be sure your character's name is something you'd find in the books. I don't think you'd find something like Gasheart or Leakleaf, so just think with what's been used in the series when you name your characters and use your better judgement to decide if your name would be found in the Warriors series.
6). In-Character role-play posts should average between 200 words and above! I would rate GOA as a semi-literate and higher role-play, so please help keep up that reputation.
There is not yet a word-count feature in ProBoards v5, but it will be installed if I ever see it made. In the meantime, there are plenty of online word counters out there to use!
Thank you for taking the time to read the rules! I know they're kind of a long read but I really appreciate you taking the time and understanding them. That's it for now, but remember to check back occasionally or when an update has been formally announced! I wish you all the best for your time here and hope you guys have fun!
